Carbon Capture & Utilization

Carbon Capture (CC) is a process that captures carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from power plants, industrial facilities, and even directly from the air, preventing it from entering the atmosphere. This is achieved through post-combustion, pre-combustion, and oxy-fuel combustion methods, where CO₂ is separated and repurposed for useful applications (Carbon Capture & Utilization - CCU).

Captured CO₂ can be used to produce synthetic fuels, chemicals, plastics, and carbon-neutral building materials like CO₂-infused concrete. It also plays a key role in enhanced oil recovery (EOR), algae-based biofuels, and agricultural carbon sequestration. By integrating carbon capture with hydrogen production, synthetic fuels, and CO₂-based materials, industries can reduce their carbon footprint, comply with environmental regulations, and support global net-zero goals, making it a crucial technology for climate change mitigation and sustainable energy solutions. Furthermore, CO₂ can be utilized into industrial processes and renewable energy solutions, carbon utilization helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create sustainable products, and accelerate the transition toward a circular carbon economy, making it a crucial tool in climate change mitigation and resource efficiency.
