Some facts about Nitrogen:

  1. Nitrogen (N₂) is a molecule that constitutes 78% of the air we breathe.
  2. Nitrogen has a boiling point of -195.8°C, at atmospheric pressure, and a melting point of -210°C. Also, if Nitrogen is compressed, it can turn into a solid without cooling.
  3. It is a colorless, odorless, and inert gas.
  4. Nitrogen is valued both as a gas for its inert properties and a liquid for cooling and freezing.

How Does AHG get Nitrogen directly from the air?

  1. Nitrogen can be produced industrially by the fractional distillation of air in a cryogenic air separation unit.
  2. This process separates liquid Nitrogen directly from the air, as the process makes use of the different temperatures that allow nitrogen to turn into a liquid and separate from the air.
  3. Using the same method, Argon and Oxygen are also produced.

Why Is Particle Size Important?

The rubber and plastics industries are two significant operations that rely on grinding and crushing in their production process. Ground to increase their surface area which directly reflects on increased reaction rates or pellets are ground to ease the creation of homogeneous blends.

Cryogenic Grinding Can Help the Environment:

Tires do not decompose. When used and disposed of in landfills or junkyards, over time they release chemicals into the air, ground, and water that affect the environment. However, the tires must be shredded in order for them to be able to be recycled.
